Ski Academy Switzerland still have places available on their gap year programme
Friday 10th September 2010
Ski Academy Switzerland (SAS) provide some of the most extensive and affordable ski instructor, race coaching and teacher training programmes on the market. They run an internship scheme subsidised by partner ski schools and still have a limited number of places available. Potential students must act fast as places are strictly limited at ski schools in Austria and Switzerland.
The SAS internship scheme is the ideal course for those looking for a winter gap year season or taking a career break as a time out. Each internship scheme qualifies you for the PSIA Level 1 which enables you to work for the rest of the season as a ski instructor!
The Internship Scheme is split into two parts:
- November to December 2010 train and qualify for the PSIA level 1
- January to April 2011 PAID work as a ski instructor with partner ski schools
Over the 4 week course the SAS coaches provide a constant personal development ski and teaching programme which covers all modules and every aspect of the PSIA Level 1 syllabus and training for the PSIA Level 2. This will include teaching sessions, shadowing, steeps, bumps, piste and off piste performance.
SAS have two ski schools on offer for students to work at post qualification:
- The Haut-Lac ski school in Switzerland
- The Kaprun ski school in Austria
