Natives have combined their successful Devon cookery course with surfing lessons
Monday 16th March 2009
If you have always wanted to learn to surf, but really want to find work for a holiday season too, then Natives has the perfect solution. Natives, experts in seasonal jobs for students, has been running successful cookery courses for the last eight years, and this year they have combined their famous five day cookery course formula with some sassy surf lessons.
Based in the coastal town of Bideford in North Devon this course is different from all the others as it provides the opportunity to learn how to run a chalet and cook, as well as have an adventure whilst you are doing it.
Competition for seasonal jobs in holiday resorts around the world has never been higher and with hundreds of candidates all competing for the highly desired position of chalet host, it’s not enough anymore to be a dinner party standard cook - you need to be head and shoulders above the crowd. That’s why Natives cookery courses are designed to give you that much needed leg up from wannabe Nigellas or Gordons to bonafide Master Chefs!
Whether it’s your first job, mid-life crisis or career change, this course will equip you with valuable skills to help you clinch that Alpine job, plus you’ll have a chance to release that inner surf God and enjoy learning to carve some turns in the waves.
The Natives Surf and Chalet Cookery Course costs £599 per person, including all the surf lessons and hire, accommodation and meals. It takes place from Monday 16th to Friday 20th August. There is a maximum of 15 students per course and demand for the courses is high, with many places already booked, so it is advisable to secure places early.
