Group volunteering abroad in New Zealand
The Rugby World Cup 2011 has generated an immense amount of interest for group travel bookings to New Zealand, according to a press release by the International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) a gap year specialist organisation. The company has been experiencing a significantly increased number of queries about group volunteer programs and group sign-up offers for the past month, probably due to all the attention that this year’s Rugby World Cup brought to the country. With all eyes on New Zealand for the past two months, many schools, colleges, universities, friends and corporate groups are calling IVHQ in New Plymouth to enquire about the group volunteering packages available in New Zealand.
A representative for the company said: “They wanted to find out more about opportunities for Group Volunteering abroad, what preparations they would have to make, and if we can accommodate all of them on one specific project,” the International Volunteer HQ representative relayed.
The local representative also assured the interested groups that “all our volunteer abroad programs can accommodate groups of all sizes and ages,” and that “we can definitely work closely with them to find a program that aligns with their group's interests.” If you are interested in volunteering as apart of a group in Thailand, Costa Rica, Kenya or Tanzania in Group Volunteering projects for 2012, now is the time to find out what’s available and how to prepare.
