Employability Benefits & Skills

There are a lot of options available to someone interested in gaining experience volunteering overseas before taking the next step in their education or employment. International Citizen Service is a respected development programme funded by the UK government. It’s open to all UK 18-25 year olds and it won’t cost you a penny.

ICS volunteers spend 10-12 weeks working with local volunteers on sustainable projects in some of the poorest communities around the world. As well as making a real difference to the lives of people that need it the most, volunteering with ICS is a fantastic way to build skills that transfer to employment and gain experience that really makes your CV stand out from all the rest.

We recently asked our volunteers how doing ICS had helped their employability.
