1. Visit the Sagrada Familia (C.de Sardenya)

Be wowed by Gaudi’s weird and wonderful unfinished church.

2. Parc Guell (C.D’Olot)

It’s Gaudi again, this time landscaping gardens. Typically bizarre statuary and designs. Also take a look at La Pedrera (Passeig de Gracia 92), accommodation designed by Gaudi and including a Gaudi museum.

3. Visit the Gothic Quarter

Come over all medieval while wandering round the Gothic Quarters maze of alleyways. The Catedral de la Seu was built in the 13th Century, and is worth an explore.

4. See the Columbus Monument

Use the elevator to get to the top of the monument for great views of the city. You can also catch the cable car from nearby to cross the harbour to the Barceloneta area or the other way to ascend Montjuic.

5. Visit the Museo Picasso (Carrer Montcada)

More Picasso’s than you can shake a paintbrush at.

6. Enjoy Barceloneta

Europe’s biggest aquarium, shopping centres, Imax cinema and up the road is the Olympic Village for more bars and clubs.

7. Go to Montjuic

Head to the hill where the Olympics were held and wander around the gardens, see the Magic Fountain and explore the museums and art galleries.
