PGL - Working Abroad with Children
Eleanor Cairns worked overseas with PGL during her gap year
Eleanor Cairns worked overseas with PGL during her gap year. Knowing about PGL from her school trips, she jumped at the chance to entrust her gap year to them and really enjoyed working with children and experiencing a life working abroad.
She says: “I went on PGL school trips when I was younger and loved it, especially the ambiance between the staff and the quality of activity sessions run by friendly people. I then jumped at the chance to go to PGL as a staff member. I also wanted to live abroad, use my language skills, make friends and see new places. I’ve had a great experience working with kids and I am now seriously considering a career in teaching.”
PGL is the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for children. With 35 centres across the UK, France and Spain and job roles including Activity Instructors, Group Leaders, Language Counsellors, Catering, Admin and Housekeeping Teams, there’s a fantastic variety of opportunities on offer.
