The Outreach Experience

We are a small social enterprise offering a personal service to volunteers. We want to get to know you, your talents, experience and ambitions for volunteering. We will work with you to get you in the right project; one that suits you, but importantly one that you will make a real difference in.
We help prepare you for your trip so you feel confident about your travels and volunteer placement. When you arrive you are met by our in-country coordinator, one of most important assets! Our coordinators know the projects intimately and arrange your accommodation. They will help you feel comfortable in your new experience and support you throughout.
For more information about planning your volunteer placement and the support you can expect view our Step-by-Step Guide
We support smaller, community-led projects. These are often humble projects helping the most vulnerable or disadvantaged in society. We visit these projects regularly from the UK as well as taking local references through our in-country coordinators. We check that we understand the objectives of each project, the potential for volunteers and how a volunteer may support the project goals.
Where can I go - What can I do?
We have projects in Ecuador, Galapagos, Mexico, Costa Rica, Tanzania, Kenya, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Volunteers can be involved in:
Healthcare: Medical students, nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists. Volunteers can be experienced or newly/part qualified, working in appropriate roles in hospitals, clinics and the community. See our projects in Healthcare
Working with Children: Volunteer to work with children with special needs, the disabled and those most disadvantaged, through working in care homes, orphanages, street projects and schools. See our projects Working with Children
Teaching: teach English and other subjects, including sports coaching at both primary and secondary school level. See all of our Teaching projects.
Conservation: helping in the conservation of the rainforest, organic farming in the cloud forest, wild animal rescue, preserving turtle eggs on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. See all of our projects working with Wildlife and Conservation
Our focus is on supporting the outcomes of ethical, sustainable projects through the supply of committed volunteers who can make a real contribution. We believe in making it a cultural experience for volunteers, who live and work in the community, not a holiday. We don’t believe in volunteers acting in large groups (with the exception of some conservation projects), we don’t create our own projects, we don’t get involved in construction projects, and we always prefer volunteers to live with host families where possible.
Our volunteers sign up to our Code of Conduct while volunteering and are required to work in our Safeguarding Policy

To provide volunteers with a rich cultural experience
To provide our staff with a secure and fair wage
